Waterfront Parking

Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

During Low Season (September 15 to May 14), waterfront parking lots and on street spots are free for the first three hours, and then $2.50/hour. You may also purchase a Daily Waterfront Parking Pass for $20/day.

During High Season (May 15 to September 14), waterfront parking remains at $5/hour or $40/day (Daily Waterfront Pass). 

 

There is no free parking in Waterfront Lots and on street during High Season.

HONK Mobile App
Eligible in all waterfront on-street and pay and display lots.

With the Honk app, residents and visitors can seamlessly search, pay for and top up parking from a phone, tablet or computer.

How it works:

1. Download the HonkMobile app. Find it at honkmobile.comGoogle Play or the App Store
2. Set up your account. Add as many vehicles and payment sources as you like to your profile.
3. Use HonkMobile to pay for your parking in all Cobourg on-street locations and Pay & Display lot

Please note, all parking within the Waterfront is first come first serve. Spaces will not be reserved.

Daily Waterfront Pass
The Daily Waterfront Parking Pass is available for $40/day from parking.cobourg.ca

Parking Permits
The following Parking Permits are available for purchase online at
parking.cobourg.ca and from the Municipal Law Enforcement and Licensing Services (201 Second Street) office and Victoria Hall (55 King Street West), from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Two vehicles can be registered on one Parking Permit, and both vehicles can utilize the permit at the same time.

Cobourg Resident Parking Permit

  • $10/month year-round
  • Valid for parking in both downtown and waterfront lots and on-street parking
  • Includes overnight parking in lots and on downtown streets year-round

Northumberland County Resident Permit

  • $40/month year-round
  • Valid for parking in both downtown and waterfront lots and on street
  • Includes overnight parking in lots only

Visitor Waterfront Permit

  • $35/month for Low Season
  • $80/month High Season
  • $320/season High Season
  • Valid for parking only in Waterfront parking lots and waterfront on-street (not valid for downtown)
  • Does not include overnight parking

NOTE: Residents can register up to two vehicles per permit. Both vehicles may use the pass at the same time.

  • Third Street, south of Albert Street 
  • Albert Street, between Third Street and Division Street 
  • Queen Street, north side, between Division and McGill Street, north side 
  • Queen Street, south side, between McGill and Church Street 
  • Queen Street, between Church Street and D'Arcy Street (Permits or HONK Mobile only)
  • Division Street, between Albert Street and Charles 
  • Division Street, south of Charles Street 
  • Charles Street, south side 
  • McGill Street, east side 
  • Paul Currelly Way 
  • Church Street
  • Green Street (Permits or HONK Mobile only)
  • Henry Street, between Bay and King Street (Permits or HONK Mobile only)
  • Perry Street (Permits or HONK Mobile only)
  • Bay Street (Permits or HONK Mobile only)

Waterfront Parking Lots include: 

  • Marina Lot 
  • The Esplanade, East and West 
  • Division Street Lot
  • Charles Street
  • McGill Street - during high season (May 15 to September 14) only 
  • Centennial Pool Lot

Overnight Permit
Overnight parking is from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The following Overnight Permits are available for use in all Municipal Parking Lots Overnight:

  • Daily Permit $10/night
  • Overnight Monthly Permit $100/month.

On-street parking, east of Victoria Park, may be paid by

  • Honk Mobile 
  • Daily Waterfront Parking Pass (High Season: $40/Day, Low Season: $20/day)
  • Cobourg Resident Parking Permit ($10/month)
  • Northumberland County Resident Permit ($40/month)
  • Visitor Waterfront Permit

There are four (5) drop off locations adjacent to Victoria Park and Victoria Beach. Drop off locations are located at:

  • King Street at Church Street
  • Bottom of McGill Street
  • Church Street at Perry Street
  • Paul Currelly Way (North and South)
