--ADULT PROGRAMMING--

Boomers - Cobourg Library - Fridays - April 10th and 17th - 10:00 a.m.

Cobourg Rotary Room
Are you 55+ and interested in meeting new friends, having interesting conversations and learning something new each week - all for free?!  We host a weekly program that offers just that.  Light refreshments provided. Drop-in.  *No Boomers on April 3rd or 24th.

Monday Movies - Cobourg Library - Mondays at 2:00 p.m. - Cobourg Rotary Room

Drop in for a free movie and light refreshments. Movie lists available in the foyer at the Cobourg Public Library. Adults welcome. Drop-in program. *No Movie on April 6th

Adult Book Club - Bewdley Branch - Wednesday, April 8th - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Join us at the Bewdley Branch where we get together and discuss our latest book of choice. AMERICAN DIRT by Jeannie Cummins. Registration is required but is currently full, please contact the Bewdley Branch at (905) 797-2535 ext. 23 to join our waitlist.

Adult Craft Night - Bewdley Branch - Wednesday, April 15th - 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Create a watercolour bookmark together. All materials will be provided.
Registration required.

Post-It Note Poetry - All Library Locations - April 1st to 30th

Visit the teen area to share a poem on the post-it notes provided and let your creative voice be heard. 
Teens Only.  Drop-in.  Teen Area.

Teen Hangout - Cobourg Library - Wednesday, April 29th - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30pm

Bring your friends to a dedicated space for teens only.
Hang out, meet new people, play a board game or a Nintendo Switch game on the big screen.
Participate in an activity or just enjoy the free Wi-Fi.
Join us for soda sampling, while supplies last! Drop-in.  Rotary Room.

National Poetry Month - All Library Locations - April 1st to April 30th

Write down your favourite poem or your own creation and share in our Poet-Tree.
Families Welcome.

Foam Frog Doorknob Craft - Take and Make Kit - Branches Only

Available April 1st at the Bewdley, Gores Landing and Cold Springs Branches.
Stop by to pick up your kit to make a foam frog doorknob craft.
Each kit contains materials to create one frog, while supplies last.

Puppet Making Workshop - Cobourg Library - Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. - Rotary Room

Bring your creativity for a puppet making workshop with VOS Theatre. Meet cast members from their upcoming performance of Cinderella The Enchanted Edition! Partnership with VOS Theatre.
Ages 4-12

PA Day Fun! Movie Morning - Bewdley Branch - Friday, April 17th - 10:00 a.m.

Instead of Storytime, join us for a Movie Morning screening of SMURFS.
Popcorn will be provided, while supplies last. Families welcome. Drop-in.

PA Day Fun! Pixel Adventure Scavenger Hunt - Cobourg Library - Friday, April 17th - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visit the Cobourg PL for a retro-inspired scavenger hunt based on a classic 8-bit platform video game.
Find all of the hidden images and power up your day with a prize.
Cobourg Youth Department.  Drop-In.  Families Welcome.

Mother Goose - Cobourg Library - Mondays at 10:00 a.m. (10-week program)

Join us for an hour of rhymes, songs, and oral stories that are perfect for bonding with your baby in this 10-week program. Parent/Guardian & Child (Aged 0-24 months). Rotary Room. 
Note: The program will pause on Monday, April 6th and Monday, May 18th due to Library holidays and closures.

Cobourg Family Storytime - Cobourg Library - Thursdays - 10:30 a.m.

Join us for stories, songs and rhymes.
A great program for school readiness and meeting other families in our community.
Drop-in program.  Ages 0 to 6 years with Parent/Guardian. 

Bewdley Family Storytime - Bewdley Branch - Friday - 10:00 a.m.

Join Library staff for storytime at our Bewdley Branch.
Each week we will explore a different theme through stories, songs, and a craft.
Drop-in program.  Ages 0 to 6 years with Parent/Guardian.
*No Storytime on Friday, April 3rd due to Library closure and April 17th will be a Morning Movie.

Bewdley Storytime with Northumberland EarlyON - Bewdley Branch - Friday, April 24th - 10:00 a.m.

Join us for a special storytime and activities in partnership with Northumberland EarlyON Child and Family Centres.  
Drop-in program.  Ages 0 to 6 years with Parent/Guardian.  

Easter Weekend

Library Closed - April 3rd, 5th and 6th (Open Saturday, April 4th)

Breakfast and Books - Harwood Hall - Saturday, April 4th - 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Visit us at the Hall's monthly pancake breakfast. We'll have activities for the kids as well as a great selection of items for you to check out.

Chess Club - Cobourg Library - Tuesdays - 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

** Chess Club cancelled Tuesday, April 7th due to unforeseen circumstances - See you next week!

Drop-in for this fun event - now in the Rotary Room!
Meet other local chess players. Pieces & boards available.  A basic understanding of chess is required.

Advanced Care Planning Free Workshop - Community Care Northumberland - Cold Springs Branch - Wednesday, April 8th - 3:30pm-5pm

Learn about your Healthcare rights, prepare your family and friends, and make a plan for the care you want - now and in the future.

  • Identify your Substitute Decision Maker (SDM).  
  • Understand how Ontario governs consent to care.  
  • Appoint a Power of Attorney for Personal Care if needed.
  • Share values, wishes, and beliefs that guide future care decisions.
  • Adults and Families Welcome (Drop-in program)

Tech Buddies - Cobourg Library - Rotary Room

Tuesdays - April 7th to May 12th - 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Drop-in for hands-on help with your devices.  
Support provided by Trinity College School Volunteers.  
Please arrive at 4:00 p.m. to sign in.
Students arrive at 4:15 p.m.
