Teen Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Thursday, October 1st to Sunday October 18th
Cobourg Public Library - During Library Hours
Pick up your plastic pumpkin and entry form at the main desk of the Cobourg Branch for decorating at home. Return both to the library before Sunday, October 18th, at 5:00 p.m. to be entered into the contest.
Public voting will take place in-library and virtually from Monday, October 19th to Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
The winner will receive a Teen prize pack!
Contest is open to ages 12-17 years only.
One pumpkin per teen, while supplies last.
Winner will be announced on Monday, October 26th, 2026.

We're collecting NEW, UNUSED socks (for all ages) for those in need in our community. Donations support the Salvation Army, Rebound Child & Youth Services, Fare Share Food Bank, Transition House, Cornerstone and The Rose Quest. Drop off NEW socks at ALL Library locations. This program is brought in partnership with the Cobourg Rotary Club.

Home Alone Course 

Cobourg Public Library - Rotary Room (200 Ontario Street)

This free course will provide youth 10-14 years of age with the skills and knowledge that will assist them in being confident about staying home alone.  Through interactive games and activities, participants will learn about how to stay safe in various situations and what to do in case of an emergency.
Course provided by Community Health Centres of Northumberland.
