The Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Cobourg are pleased to announce nominations are open for the 23rd Annual Business Achievement Awards.

The Town of Cobourg (Town) is undertaking a Master Plan study to identify the potential sewage system improvements required to address projected growth. The existing wastewater system is serviced by Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) No. 1 and associated pumping stations; however, projected growth in the sanitary sewershed area is expected to exceed system capacity. This study will assess the existing wastewater treatment plant and pumping stations and identify the operational and capacity improvements required to meet future demands.

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that pursuant to section 5.6 a) of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law a Special Meeting of Council has been called of Municipal Council scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 5 p.m.

The Town of Cobourg Public Works & Engineering Division would like to inform residents of intermittent lane closures and short-duration sidewalk closures downtown on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
