The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents that the Significant Weather Event has been lifted for the Cobourg area.
Due to the worsening weather forecast with significant amounts of snowfall the Town of Cobourg is declaring a Significant Weather Event and a Snow Event.
The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents cold temperatures are expected overnight Friday, January 23 continuing through to Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Due to extremely dry conditions and deteriorating air quality caused by ongoing wildland fires across Ontario and Manitoba, a Total Fire Ban is being implemented in Northumberland County, including the Town of Cobourg, effective immediately.
The Town of Cobourg would like to advise all residents to take precautions due to the hot temperatures expected over the next week.
