Welcome to Camp Programs at the Cobourg Community Centre!  

General Camp Information:

Summer Camps + Ice Camps

Spaces are available for Day Camp, Learn to Skate Camp, Learn to Play Hockey Camp, & Hockey Development Camp! 

Below, you will find quick descriptions of our camp's potential themes for Summer 2025!  We encourage families to check this page as you get closer to your camp dates in order to see if there's any special items you need to bring with you to camp!

Things to know for your first day at Camp!

Summer Camps!!!

Our camp day runs from 9am to 4pm; please come to the Camp Tent, outside at the North End of the CCC. Staff will be there to greet you and check you in, upon your arrival.  If it's raining, we'll be just inside the doors in the Gymnasium, so come on in!

 

Please note; we offer extended care, included in your registration from 730am to 530pm.  When you arrive for your first day at camp, please request an extended care form if you require this option. 

 

Everyday, the following should be packed in your Backpack for a fun filled day of camp!

- Indoor Running Shoes

- Re-fillable Water Bottle 

- Change of Clothes (Just in Case)

- Peanut Free Lunch and Snacks for the day

 

Skating Bag - Tuesday and Thursday ONLY

- Skates

- Hockey Helmet (face mask recommended), bicycle helmets are not acceptable.

- Warm clothes and mittens

- Skating Aids are allowed if needed (Camp does not provide them)

- Hockey Sticks are NOT permitted 

 

If you don't have any of these items and would like to try skating, let our staff know and we will do our best to help find/borrow items if we can.  Skating during day camp is completely optional - children who choose not to skate, will be offered 'free time' in the gym or Camp room with other campers and staff. 

 

Silly Camp - July 2 to 4  **3 Day Camp

Let's kick off the summer in a fun way! With our most popular camp - SILLY CAMP! 

 

A different theme each day keeps campers excited and enthusiastic for the whole week!! Day themes will be mentioned here, closer to the start of camp...keep your eyes peeled for hints!
Just so you know - we spend most of our summer outside under the tent in the fresh air and sunshine, however we also utilize the inside of the CCC including the gymnasium and other multi purpose spaces. Our camp even goes skating - 2 times this week!

Don't forget to check our backpack list before you come to camp - that's where we'll list any special items you may need...and a reminder of the regular stuff too!

 

Explorers Camp - July 7 to 11

Do you just love being outdoors? Are you interested in learning about the environment around us? If you said yes, then this camp is for you! Whether we are learning about nature, animals, or getting some cool ideas for family camping trips - the outdoors is yours to explore! While we're at it - let's find a creative way to make s'mores!!

 

Just so you know - we spend most of our summer outside under the tent in the fresh air and sunshine, however we do also utilize the inside of the CCC including the gymnasium and other multi purpose spaces. Our camp even goes skating - 2 times this week!

 

Don't forget to check our backpack list before you come to camp - that's where we'll list any special items you may need...and a reminder of the regular stuff too!

 

Learn to Skate Camp - July 7 - 11

Learn to Skate in small classes with additional CCC Instructors and volunteers, which encourages children to try skating and learn the basics, at their own pace. Children are put into groups based on skill levels and ages each lesson. ***All participants MUST wear skates and CSA approved hockey helmets with face masks. Skaters are on ice daily for one hour from 10:15-11:15am. 

 

ICE ONLY - Learn to Skate Camp

For children participating for just the on ice portion of Learn to Skate Camp - Please arrive at the Pond entrance inside the front lobby of the CCC.  We will direct you to a change room at that time.  Please ensure you sign your child in and out with our Camp staff once you arrive at the dressing room.  We ask that you still fill out a Camper information form (found at the bottom of this page) and have it ready with you on your first day.

 

FULL DAY - Learn to Skate + Day Camp

For children staying with us for the full day of camp - they will check in at the start of the day at the camp tent and our staff will take them into the arena for their lesson and return them back to camp after, where they will continue to participate in the remainder of the camp day. Please note, campers who are signed up for the full day of camp are able to utilize the before and after care option (beginning at 7:30am until 5:30pm)

 

FULL DAY Learn to Skate Campers will participate in the Crazy Camp theme week. 

Silly Camp - July 14 - 18

 

A different theme each day will keep you guessing - which themes will we choose for this week? It's a mystery - but just you wait for some NEW themes this week!
Don't forget - we spend most of our summer outside under the tent in the fresh air and sunshine, however we will also be inside of the CCC cooling off in the gymnasium and other multi purpose spaces. Our camp even goes skating - 2 times this week!

Don't forget to check our backpack list before you come to camp - that's where we'll list any special items you may need...and a reminder of the regular stuff too!

 

 

 Learn to Play Hockey Camp - July 21 - 25

 

Welcome NEW hockey players, to a fun filled week of learning how to play hockey!

 

All Hockey Players are expected to be in full gear on the ice, including hockey stick.  Hockey helmets must have full face masks. Mouthguards are optional. 

 

We are on ice daily 10:15-11:15am.

Sports Camp - July 21 - 25

 

This camp is all about being active and having some fun! Sports Camp promises to be a really exciting week!

Each day, we will try out different sports, some that might even be new to some our campers!  Learn basic skills and put them into motion with a small game or activity challenges that will keep the competitive spirit going!

 

We'll be in our gymnasium and outside, trying all sorts of sports, such as Ball Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Golf and Volleyball, just to name a few! Don't forget, campers also get the chance to skate twice during the week, as part of their camp registration. 

 

Animal Camp - July 28 - August 1

 

All things Animals, this week! Let's learn about some of the animals of the world, where they live and what they need to survive! Whether they are cute and cuddly, or scary and slimy, or if they fly, swim or run - we're bound to learn a few new things about the Animal Kingdom.

 

Our campers this week will play games, make crafts and enjoy lots of activities, mostly outside under our tent. We'll enjoy lots of fresh air and sunshine, but will also utilize the CCC, including the gymnasium and campers will also skate twice this week in our arena. We hope you can join us!

Silly Camp - August 5 - 8  **4 Day Camp

Here we go, with another week of SILLY Camp! Each day has a different theme, we'll keep you on your toes! Our staff has already made special requests for Paint Twister, Spaghetti Art, Cupcake Decorating and some fizzy experiments, so you can be sure it will be a lot of fun!

 

Hope you can join us! And just so you know, most of our summer is spent out in the tent, in the fresh air and sunshine! We do utilize the inside of the CCC, including the gymnasium, when we need to cool off or do special activities. Our campers also have the opportunity to skate 2 times during the week!

 

 Creative Camp - August 11 - 15

 

Let's get creative! This week will have our campers trying lots of different forms of expression and learning a lot! Whether drawing and painting is your thing, or you like theatre or music, we are sure to find something you'll enjoy. Let's let our art speak for itself, as we learn and create!!

 

We will spend the majority of our time outside in the fresh air and sunshine, however, some of our activities will be inside the CCC, including the gymnasium. Our campers will also be able to skate twice during their week at camp.

 

Sports Camp - August 18 - 22

 

This camp is all about being active and having some fun! Sports Camp promises to be a really exciting week!

We're excited to welcome our hockey players to a fun filled week of skills, speed and hard work!

 

There are two groups skating this week;
Group One (ages 4-7yrs) on ice from 9:15 to 10:15am
Group Two (ages 8-10yrs) on ice from 10:15-11:15am

All Hockey Players are expected to be in full gear on the ice, including hockey stick.  Hockey helmets must have full face masks. Mouthguards are optional.

Silly Camp - August 25 - 29

Since its our last week together, we need to get a little silly! Staying wild and having a different theme each day!  Each of our Camp Staff has picked an activity they loved during the summer, and we'll get to do it again this week!! We hope to even get some of our campers to help us with that too!! So bring your ideas!

 

Hope you can join us! And just so you know, most of our summer is spent out in the tent, in the fresh air and sunshine!  Extended Care Form - Not available online. Must be filled out in person at Check In. 

 

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

 

 In order to receive a FULL REFUND, a participant must withdraw from their camp 10 business days prior to their start date.  

  

Cancellations made with less than 10 business days notice, will receive a full credit on your account.

  

If you call on the Friday before the start of your upcoming Camp you do not receive a refund or a credit.

 

  

Sick Days and/or Cancellations made within the current week of your child's camp are non-refundable and non-transferable.
