Environmental Services Reduced Hydro Costs by 84%!

Earlier today we were delighted to host Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Marco Mendicino and our Member of Parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South Kim Rudd to our Water Pollution Control Plant.

In mid-September we upgraded our aeration system, installed air diffusers and dialed down our blower output to 24% of its capacity, reducing hydro costs by an astounding 84%!

The federal grant we received from the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) for $500,000 helped to accelerate this success.
