    We Received the Bicycle Friendly Community Award!

    The Town of Cobourg recently received provincial recognition at the 10th Annual Ontario Bike Summit Awards with a Bronze Award as a new Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC).

    With the recognition of the Bronze Award to the Town of Cobourg this brought the number of Bicycle Friendly Communities in Ontario to 42. With 3 Gold, 8 Silver and 31 Bronze BFCs across Ontario - representing 70% of Ontario’s population - the province is well on it’s way towards achieving a collective goal of becoming the most bicycle-friendly place to ride a bike in North America.

  • Canada Day Applications

    Dog Tag Sellers Going Door-to-Door

    Starting May 1st Town of Cobourg Dog Tag sellers will be conducting door-to-door sales of 2018 Dog Tags. Town of Cobourg is offering this service for residents who have been unable to come into Town Hall to purchase a Dog Tag.

    Tags can be purchased at $20 for natural animals and $15 for spayed/neutered animals from Dog Tag Sellers or from the Finance Office in Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West, Cobourg, Monday to Friday, 8:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

    Call for Participation on the Joint Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee

    The Joint Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee will represent the lower tier municipalities and their Councils from within the County of Northumberland.

    Applications may be obtained at Municipality of Port Hope Municipal Clerk’s Department, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope or at on behalf of all participating Municipalities for consideration. Applications must be received no later than Noon on Friday, May 11, 2018. View the ad.

    Keep Cobourg Clean - Volunteers Needed to 'Pitch In'

    We are looking for volunteers to 'pitch in' and help keep our beautiful Town and Northumberland County clean. Pitch In Week is April 22-29 and we really need your help to keep our parks, roadside ditches, natural trails, beach and parking lots clean. 

    Our big clean up day is Saturday, April 28 where we will meet at Victoria Hall in the lobby at 9 a.m. We will supply gloves, garbage bags and safety vests.
