Located in the heart of Victoria Park, the Bandshell offers the ideal venue for local groups, live performances and special events.
The shell-shaped Bandshell (18.5 m x 8.5m) constructed from plans purchased from V.R. Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona, with the labour provided by unemployed men of the town, supervised by Percy Climo, was opened on August 5, 1934 by Mayor Jack Delanty with the Cobourg Kiltie Band playing. The Bandshell was one of the first of its kind in Ontario when it opened.
The Bandshell has a limited power supply, private access to the stage and washrooms.
