Through the planning and design process, including community and stakeholder consultation and site review, eighty (80) separate waterfront related initiatives have been identified. These initiatives include both physical/infrastructure improvements as well as operational improvements. The initiatives are organized into ten waterfront locations/topic areas:

East Pier that is pedestrian/bicycle friendly, lush/green with grass/trees, viewing areas/benches, shade structures |
Multi-Use Community Waterfront Facility |
Harbour that is more active with a single new multi-use facility in place of the marina and yacht club buildings - bright, heritage design but with lots of glass - similar footprint and height as the existing buildings but one single, two storey facility |
Travel/Mobile Boat Lift |
Improved boat launch and mobile boat lift (replacing a large crane on the pier) |
West Headland Beautification |
West Headland that is a little more organized with nicer and formal paths with a beautiful lookout/viewing area with built-up rocks/grass/etc (see example from slide deck from thinc design) with panoramic views of the harbour, town and lake |
West Beach Pathway Improvements |
West Beach with more and better access/paths (fingers) from the boardwalk to the waterfront - still in its natural state with birds, spectators, people sitting on logs, etc. |
