Cobourg, ON (November 23, 2023) – The Town of Cobourg has engaged Ainley Group to undertake detail design activities for improvements to the William Street bridge over Cobourg Creek (0.1 km southeast of Boulton Street) and replacement of a structural culvert on King Street West, located approximately 0.6 km west of Burnham Street. The rehabilitation / replacement project is proceeding in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA; 2023), which applies to municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water, and wastewater projects.

The purpose of this notice is to inform residents that there is an upcoming Public Information Centre (PIC) for this project. The PIC provides the opportunity to share and discuss information about the project, and receive your feedback.
The design for the above is currently underway and construction is planned to start in 2024 for the William Street bridge, and 2025 for the King Street culvert, pending funding and approvals.
The PIC for this project will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D’Arcy Street, Cobourg, to provide additional information and answer questions about the project. Information and materials from the PIC will also be available at www.cobourg.ca. Please provide any comments regarding this project by December 21, 2023.
