(Issued May 20, 2022 at 11:15 a.m. EST) – The Town of Cobourg and Lakefront Utility Services Inc. have engaged CIMA Canada Inc. to complete the design for the replacement of watermain and sanitary sewer infrastructure at the following locations:

• Alexandria Drive, D’Arcy Street to 170 meters east
• Campbell Street, north of University Avenue East
• Furnace Street, east of Ball Street
• Green Street, Queen Street to King Street East
• Rankin Boulevard

The focus of this improvements project is to replace watermains at all locations, as well as sanitary sewer on Campbell Street and Rankin Boulevard. Sanitary sewer and water services will be replaced to the property line and connected to existing service pipes. There is no cost to the homeowner for this work.

The purpose of this notice is to inform residents that there is an upcoming Public Information Centre (PIC) for this project. The PIC provides the opportunity to share information about the project, hear your concerns, and receive your feedback via email.

The design for the project is currently underway and construction is planned to start July 2022, pending budget approvals.

The PIC material will be uploaded on Friday May 20, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. through the Town of Cobourg’s website: www.cobourg.ca/news and will be posted for one week.  We request all comments or questions be submitted by the end of the posting period, to give staff the opportunity to respond. With the current COVID-19 situation it is preferable to correspond via email.
