Special Council Meeting Called for April 22 at 1 p.m.

Cobourg, ON (April 20, 2026) – The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that pursuant to section 5.6 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law a Special Meeting of Council has been called of Municipal Council scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 1 p.m. The agenda is available on the Town’s website at the following link: https://calendar.cobourg.ca/council

The meeting is being held to move into closed session in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001 regarding:

• personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (s. 239 (2) (b)); and
• advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)); and
• a trade secret or scientific, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information, supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board, which, if disclosed, could reasonably be expected to prejudice significantly the competitive position or interfere significantly with the contractual or other negotiations of a person, group of persons, or organization (s. 239 (2) (i)).
