Road Closure Notice for Downtown Cobourg Sidewalk Sale

Cobourg, ON (July 23, 2026) – The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents, businesses, and visitors of upcoming road closures in downtown Cobourg for the 58th Annual Sidewalk Sale.

Road Closures
The following road closures will be in effect from Thursday, July 30 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, August 2 at 8 a.m.:

• King Street from Spring Street to Division Street
• Third Street from King Street to Albert Street
• Second Street from King Street to Albert Street
• George Street will be closed to through traffic at Covert Street 

Local businesses will remain open during the event. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and follow posted signage while closures are in place.

Downtown Cobourg Sidewalk Sale
The Sidewalk Sale will be open the following hours:

• Thursday, July 30 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Friday, July 31 | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday, August 1 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stroll the streets of Downtown Cobourg as local businesses bring their best deals outdoors with incredible sidewalk sales. Browse the bustling street market featuring local artisans, makers, and vendors, enjoy live music throughout the downtown, and let the kids burn off some energy in the Kids Zone. There will also be extended patios, food trucks, and more.

Plan Your Visit
Downtown Cobourg offers convenient parking options for visitors attending the Sidewalk Sale. Enjoy three hours of free downtown parking in municipal parking lots and on-street parking spaces. Additional time is available for a fee after the first three hours.

Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle, or carpool where possible, as downtown streets will be busy throughout the event. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

While visiting downtown, explore local shops, restaurants, and community attractions. Visitors looking for local information, things to do, and places to eat are encouraged to stop by the Experience Cobourg Tourism Information Hub at 35 Albert Street.
