Cobourg, ON (September 16, 2026) – The Town of Cobourg would like to remind residents that the final property tax installment is due on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Understanding Municipal Tax Rates
Municipal tax rates are set based on three levies: the municipal tax rate, as set by the Town of Cobourg; the County tax rate, as set by the County of Northumberland; and the educational tax rate, set by the Province of Ontario. The Town of Cobourg approved the 2026 municipal budget in December 2025. Property taxes are broken down into two installments, for a total of four payments per year.
