Notice of Withdrawal of Notice of Intention to Designate: 195 Queen Street
Cobourg, ON (September 4, 2026) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents that the Notice of Intention to Designate 195 Queen Street as a property of cultural heritage value or interest under the Ontario Heritage Act has been withdrawn.
Take notice that, in accordance with Section 29(7) of the Ontario Heritage Act, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Cobourg, at its meeting held on August 26, 2026, decided to withdraw its Notice of Intention to Designate 195 Queen Street as being of cultural heritage value or interest under Part IV and pursuant to Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.
The Notice of Intention to Designate is therefore withdrawn, and the designation process initiated by the notice is concluded.
Description of Property
The Subject Property is legally described as PLAN CADDY TIER 2 LOTS 10 AND 11 PT LOT 9 RP 39R12112 PART 3 with a civic address of 195 Queen Street. The Subject Property has a frontage of 133.63 ft on the south side of Queen Street and is located between Henry Street and Green Street with a total lot area of 0.53ac.
