Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment – 660 Kerr Street West

Cobourg, ON (May 1, 2026) – The Corporation of the Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents that the town has received a complete application for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment by Fotenn Planning + Design on behalf of Omni Quality Living under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.P. 13, as amended.

The Municipal Council of the Town of Cobourg will hold a Public Meeting regarding the aforementioned application on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 3rd Floor East Wing, Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West, Cobourg in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.P. 13, as amended.

The Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment Applications propose to permit a four-storey long-term care home containing 256 beds and 164 surface parking spaces.

Public Meeting Details
This Public Meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and is being held using a hybrid meeting model. The public may view the Council meeting in person or online via the Town of Cobourg live stream at https://calendar.cobourg.ca/council
