Our Economic Development Team

The Economic Development team is made up of experienced professionals who have the resources needed to support Cobourg non-residential sector. The department is responsible for promoting the Town of Cobourg by investigating business development opportunities which in turn will increase local employment. Through collaborative partnerships economic development efforts include:

attracting new business;
facilitation of non residential development projects;
encouraging business retention and expansion;
managing municipally owned industrial land inventory; and,
providing economic and community information

Our Values

We prioritize integrity and honesty, fostering a work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and respects individuals. We provide development services and collaborate with manufacturers to establish customized certificate programs through Fleming College, Durham College, Trent University, Ontario Tech, and Loyalist College. Local 183 Training Centre (LIUNA) offers skilled trades and safety training in the construction sector.
