Printed copies available to pick up from municipal buildings
Cobourg, ON (June 5, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg’s Community Services Division is pleased to announce copies of the 2024 Spring and Summer Leisure Guide are available to pick up from municipal buildings.
“After the incredible response we received from last year’s Leisure Guide and feedback from our community in support of a printed guide, we knew it was important to put funding towards printing this resource for our residents,” said Mayor Lucas Cleveland. “I encourage everyone to pick up a copy of the guide and discover the incredible community and cultural activities we are fortunate to have in Cobourg.”

Printed copies of the Leisure Guide may be picked up from Victoria Hall (55 King Street West), the Cobourg Public Library (200 Ontario Street), and the Cobourg Community Centre (750 D’Arcy Street). Copies have also been distributed to various retail outlets and organizations.

Electric Vehicle and Sustainability Event

The EV Society-Northumberland Chapter and Sustainable Cobourg are organizing a free EV and Sustainability Event. A variety of electric vehicles (EVs) will be on display by owners and local dealers. Test drives may be booked with participating dealerships.

RCMP Musical Ride
Saturday, June 22, 3 p.m.| Donegan Park
A symbol of tradition, honour, and pride, the Musical Ride is a Canadian icon with history dating back to 1876. The troop of up to 26 riders, who are all police officers, and their horses perform intricate formations and drills set to music. Tickets are $10+HST available through the Cobourg Box Office.

Canada Day Celebrations

The Canada Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. on King Street. Join the Town Council, the Town Crier and York Bell-Smith for the Opening Ceremonies in Victoria Park at 12:30 p.m. After opening ceremonies there will be children’s activities and multicultural performances in the north end of Victoria Park. Canada Day Entertainment at the Bandshell begins at 1 p.m. and continues until 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin over the harbour beginning at 10 p.m. sharp.
