Cobourg, ON (Issued September 27, 2019 at 12 p.m. EST) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise citizens that the production company G2G Series Inc. will return to Cobourg on Tuesday, October 8^th for the filming of the Netflix TV series, Ginny & Georgia.

The new Netflix TV series includes 10-episodes for “Ginny & Georgia,” a mother-daughter coming of age series featuring Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howy (“The Passage”) who will play the daughter and mother. “Ginny & Georgia” centers on Ginny Miller, a fifteen-year-old who often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia wants to put down roots in the charming New England town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts and give her family a normal life. New England and give her family a normal life. For Ginny, that means navigating a prestigious school, rising popularity, and complicated love interests.

On Monday, October 7^th, the production company will return to Cobourg to set up a harvest festival with a stage in front of Victoria Hall for filming on Tuesday, October 8^th. The production company will have the set dismantled by Wednesday, October 9^th at 9 a.m.

Please note that access to Victoria Hall will still be made available to citizens through guided walkways to avoid disruption of filming. The production company and the Town of Cobourg thank citizens in advance for their patience.

Film production vehicles arrive on Monday, October 7 and will park in assigned areas at:

• Second Street
• Market Building Parking Lot
• Albert Street Parking Lot (beside the transit shelter)

Road Closure Notices: 

• King Street West, in front of Victoria Hall, will be closed from Monday, October 7th at 9 a.m. until Wednesday, October 9th at 9 a.m. Second Street and Third Street will remain open for traffic to redirect.
• Street parking on Second Street will be blocked from October 7^th at 7 a.m. until October 9^th at 11 a.m.
• Street parking in front of El Camino (4 spots) on King Street West will be blocked from October 7^th at 7 a.m. until October 9^th at 11 a.m.
• Street parking on the east side of Third Street (9 spots) will be blocked on October 8^th from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
• Street parking on King Street West, in front of CIBC (2 spots) and 4 spots on the north side will be blocked on October 8^th from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Cobourg Police Services will be working directly with the production company to ensure safety and traffic control. G2G Series Inc. thanks you for your cooperation and consideration while it films in Cobourg.
