Cobourg, ON (May 8, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise the community of road closures on Saturday, May 11, 2024, for the Cameco “Step Up for Mental Health” 5K Run/Walk event.
Participants will be starting and finishing the run/walk at Victoria Park and complete a loop of Downtown Cobourg. Road closures will begin at 7 a.m. and roads will be reopened on a rolling basis as quickly as possible as participants clear sections of the course. Event organizers encourage the community to line the streets to cheer on participants beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to find an alternate route and to park vehicles off the street. Road marshals will be present to guide residents out of the area safely.

Please be aware that on Saturday, May 11, Cobourg transit bookings within the downtown area must have a pickup and drop-off location north of King Street between 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Step Up for Mental Health, powered by Cameco, recognizes the importance of, and need for, mental health resources in the local community and that funding for mental health services is essential to helping improve access and support for those who need it.
This event is open to everyone, from serious runners to casual joggers and walkers who are looking to raise money for a good cause while having a good time.
