Teen Bookworm Contest - All Library Locations - September 2nd to 30th

Take your best guess at how many gummy worms are in the sealed jar. The closest guess wins the candy! 
Teens only.

Boomers - Cobourg Library - Fridays - 10:00 a.m. - Rotary Room

Are you 55+ and interested in meeting new friends, having interesting conversations and learning something new each week - all for free?!  We host a weekly program that offers just that.  Light refreshments provided.

  • Sept 5th - Explore sustainable gardening with Ecology Gardeners and discover eco-friendly practices for your green space.
  • Sept 12th - Talia from the Alzheimer’s Association discusses crucial insights into Alzheimer’s care and support.
  • Sept 19th - Join Christopher Cameron for a fun and informative session on the art of humor writing, with tips on crafting jokes and stories that bring laughter.
  • Sept 26th - Discover the joys of birdwatching with the Willow Beach Field Naturalists and spot local wildlife in its natural habitat.

Drop in for a free movie and light refreshments.  Movie lists will be available at the Cobourg Library.

Adult Book Club - Bewdley Branch - Wednesdays - Sept 10th, Oct 8th and Nov 12th - 6:30 p.m.

Join us at the Bewdley Branch where we get together and discuss our latest book of choice!

Adult Craft Night - Bewdley Branch - Wednesday, September 17th - 6:00 p.m.

Join us for a fun and relaxing craft night where you'll learn the art of weaving and create your very own Mug Rug the perfect little mat for your coffee or tea.
No experience necessary.  All materials required will be provided.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please contact your local branch or go online to register.
Registration starts: Tuesday, September 2nd at 10:00 a.m.

Fall Pumpkin Patch - Take and Make Kits - Bewdley and Gores Landing Branches

Available Starting September 2nd - During Branch Hours
Stop by the Library and pick up your Fall Pumpkin Patch kit to make this cool seasonal decoration.
Each kit contains the materials to create one pumpkin patch.

School Bus Picture Frame Craft - All Library Locations - September 2nd to September 7th

Get ready to go back to (or start!) school by making a school bus picture frame out of popsicle sticks at any of our three branches.
Complete the craft with your own school photo!
Families Welcome.  Drop-in Program.  While Supplies Last.

Crinkle Corn - Take and Make Kits - Cold Springs Branch

Available Starting September 3rd - During Branch Hours
Stop by the Library and pick up your crinkle corn craft kit to make this seasonal decoration!
Each kit contains the materials to create one cob of corn.

Family Storytime – Cobourg Library - Thursdays - 10:30 a.m. - Rotary Room

Join us this fall for stories, songs, and rhymes. A great program for school readiness and meeting other families in our community.
For ages 0-6 years with parent or caregiver.  Drop-in Program.  

Bewdley Family Storytime – Bewdley Branch - Fridays – 10:00 a.m.

Join Library staff for storytime at our Bewdley branch this fall. Each week we will explore a different theme through stories, songs, and a craft.
For ages 0-6 years with parent or caregiver.  Drop-in Program.  

Mother Goose – Cobourg Library - Mondays – 10:00 a.m. - Rotary Room

Classes begin Monday, September 8th.
Join us for an hour of rhymes, songs, and oral stories that are perfect for bonding with your baby in this 10-week program.
Online registration begins Tuesday, September 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
Parent/ Guardian & Child (Aged 0-24 months)
*Please note that there will be no program on Monday, October 13th, 2025.*

Bewdley Family Storytime with Northumberland EarlyON - Bewdley Branch - Fridays - Sept 19th, Oct 17th and Nov 21st - 10:00 a.m.

Join us at the Bewdley Branch for a special storytime and activities in partnership with Northumberland EarlyON Child and Family Centres.
Families Welcome.  Drop-in Program.

PA Day Fun: Autumn Adventure Scavenger Hunt - Bewdley and Cobourg - Friday, September 26th - During Branch Hours

Join us for a delightful scavenger hunt celebrating the beauty of fall.
Sharpen your observation skills by searching for autumn-themed images hidden throughout the Youth area. Find them all and you will be rewarded with a special prize.
Families Welcome.  Drop-in Program.

Breakfast and Books - Harwood Hall - Saturday, September 6th - 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Visit us at the Harwood Hall's monthly pancake breakfast!
We'll have activities for the kids as well as a great selection of items for you to check out.

Your Library at the Cobourg Farmer's Market - Saturday, September 13th - 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Join your Library at the Cobourg Farmer's Market on Saturday, June 14th. Storytime will be held at 10:30 a.m. Bring a comfortable chair! We'll also have a library card sign up station.

30th Anniversary - Cobourg Library - Sunday, September 28th - 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Help us celebrate 30 years of service at our Ontario Street location.  Explore your Library!
