Victoria Hall Construction Projects Occurring Over Upcoming Months

Cobourg, ON (October 17, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg Corporate Services Division would like to notify the public of construction projects taking place in Victoria Hall.

Chiller and Cooling Plant Replacement
The Town of Cobourg’s Building Maintenance and Services department is coordinating the replacement of Victoria Hall’s Chiller and Cooling Plant. This project is now underway and is anticipated to be completed in March 2026.

Victoria Hall visitors may notice some changes in temperature and may want to wear a sweater during colder days. Staff will be implementing additional measures throughout the project to keep everyone as comfortable as possible. Most of the work is scheduled during daytime hours and outside of events taking place at Victoria Hall.

Parking will be affected in the Victoria Square Lot as some spots will be dedicated for contractor use during the week. There will be directional signage around the outside of the building and certain areas may be temporarily closed for construction activities.

Generator Project
Work on the permanent installation of the existing generator at Victoria Hall will begin this month and is expected to be completed by year-end. The diesel generator, located in a trailer behind the main Victoria Hall building, will be removed and a new pad on the southwest side of Victoria Hall will be installed.

During some parts of the work a crane, excavating equipment and concrete trucks will be on site. Areas in Victoria Square may be closed off during these times. Regular business in the buildings located on the square property should not be impacted.
