Upcoming Closures Due to Cobourg Marina Boat Lift-Out and Hauling Operations

Cobourg, ON (September 24, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents that there will be road closures, pedestrian closures and parking lot closures that will begin on Thursday, September 26 for the Cobourg Marina Boat Lift-Out and Hauling operations.

The first boat lift of the season will occur on Saturday, September 28, and the hauling day will take place on Sunday, September 29 and Monday, September 30.

Please note that the following closures will include pedestrian traffic. To complete these operations in the safest terms possible we must keep guests from the path of heavy equipment. Every effort will be made to open walkways and roads when safe to do so between preparation and hauling procedures.

Road and parking lot closures beginning September 26 for Lifting and Hauling includes:

• Harbour West Basin Parking Lot
• Hibernia Street, south of Third Street
• Third Street, between Hibernia Street and The Esplanade
• Division Street, south of The Esplanade
• The Esplanade

The second boat lift-out weekend will begin on Thursday, October 24, and continue until Monday, October 28. Road and parking lot closures for this period include:

• Harbour West Basin Parking Lot
• Hibernia Street, south of Third Street
• Third Street, between Hibernia Street and The Esplanade
• Division Street, south of The Esplanade
• The Esplanade
