Detailed budget presentations to begin October 29^th

Cobourg, ON (October 21, 2024)– The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents that the draft 2025 budget is now available on EngageCobourg.ca

Divisional Staff Budget Presentations
Town staff will present their budget recommendations to Council at their respective committee meetings during the week of October 28, 2024.These detailed overviews will provide information on key operating and capital drivers, special projects, cost avoidance and saving initiatives.

Community Engagement Breakdown
The 2025 Budget Community Engagement Plan is broken down into two phases. Phase One Community Engagement sought insight for Council on the current programs and services residents feel require additional funding and/or staff attention as well as community recommendations for programs and services that align with Council’s Strategic Plan. The results of Phase One Community Engagement will be presented at the October 29, 2024 Budget meeting.

Phase Two Community Engagement will seek community feedback on the draft budget and will launch the week of October 29^th. The results of Phase Two Community Engagement will be presented to Council prior to the detailed budget review session in November so that Council will have insight from the community as they make their final budget decisions.
