Town of Cobourg Announces Operational Updates at Outdoor Rink

Cobourg, ON (December 19, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg is pleased to announce that starting tomorrow, Saturday, December 20, the Albert Street washroom and lobby located at Rotary Harbourfront Park will reopen daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with on-site security personnel in place.

The addition of security personnel at the Albert Street washroom facility was approved at the December 17, 2025, Regular Council Meeting and will operate under the oversight of the Municipal Law Enforcement Department.

This enhanced presence is intended to ensure safe, appropriate and accessible public use of the facility and provide outdoor rink users a warm and sheltered space to prepare for their skate. The facility will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., including Christmas Day.

To help maintain safe and efficient operations, the washrooms will not be accessed through the exterior doors. Access to the indoor space will be limited to washroom use and rink preparation only.

Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will remain available to provide additional assistance as needed. Residents are reminded that Municipal Law Enforcement is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 905-372-8380.

The Rotary Harbourfront Outdoor Rink is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Benches are located around the rink to assist with putting skates on and off. Municipal parking lots adjacent to and across from the rink offer two hours of free parking.
