Temporary Lane and Sidewalk Closures in Downtown Cobourg

Cobourg, ON (January 13, 2026) – The Town of Cobourg Public Works & Engineering Division would like to inform residents of intermittent lane closures and short-duration sidewalk closures downtown on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The lane and sidewalk closures are due to a geotechnical investigation in the downtown area, affecting the areas as shown in the map below: 

Lane Closures
There will be short-duration, intermittent single lane closures on King Street West between George Street and Second Street. Flag persons will be present to ensure traffic flow is maintained.

Walkway and Sidewalk Closures
During this time, the Henley Arcade walkway will be closed to pedestrian traffic.

In addition, the sidewalks on the north side of King Street West at the Henley Arcade walkway and the north side of Albert Street between First Street and Second Street will have short duration closures. Access to the retail stores on King Street will be maintained.
