Statement from Mayor Lucas Cleveland Regarding Ron Jeschke

Today, Town of Cobourg Council and staff pause to remember our late colleague, Ronald Jeschke. Ron was a dedicated and long-serving member of our team, known to many through his work as Information Technology Supervisor. His generosity, kindness, and ever-present smile left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working with him. Ron was a true legend, always showing up to work with a positive demeanour, get it done attitude and unwavering commitment to this community that I admired. Ron passed away on March 21, 2025.

Town flags will be at half-staff today, on what would have been his 63rd birthday, as we honour Ron’s memory at his Celebration of Life. On behalf of Council, I extend my continued condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues as we remember Ron with gratitude.
