Special Council Meeting Called for October 14 at 1 p.m.

Cobourg, ON (October 9, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that a Special Meeting of Council will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Council will meet in Closed Session regarding the following items:

• litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (s. 239 (2) (e)), and
• advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)).

Please be advised that pursuant to section 5.6 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law a Special Meeting has been called of Cobourg Municipal Council scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. for the purposes of meeting in Closed Session. The public will see a Closed Session screen on the livestream (available on www.cobourg.ca/escribe) of the Special Meeting indicating Council is in Closed Session.
