Planned Power Outage and Road Closure

Cobourg, ON (November 24, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg is advising residents and businesses of a planned power outage and temporary road closure on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, to allow for the safe removal of a tree on College Street.

The planned power outage will affect the areas in red on the below map on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from approximately 7 to 9 a.m. 

Road Closure
There is a road closure on College Street between Chapel Street and James Street East from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Local traffic access will be limited during this time. Affected local residents have received additional information.

Traffic Signals Reminder
Traffic signals will not be affected, however, a reminder that when power outages occur and stoplights are not in service drivers are to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
