Parks and Recreation Master Plan Task Force Seeking Community Members

Cobourg, ON (November 14, 2025) - The Town of Cobourg’s Community Services Division is seeking nine engaged and qualified citizens to serve as volunteer members of the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Task Force.

The Task Force will play a key role in guiding the development of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which will establish the vision and priorities for how the Town invests in and manages its recreational facilities, parks, trails, green spaces, and programs over the next decade and beyond.

The Town is inviting applications from community members who demonstrate:

  • Experience or interest in recreation, urban ecology, park planning, inclusion, or cultural heritage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in diverse groups
  • Availability to participate regularly over the project duration

Those interested may apply online or in-person at Victoria Hall. To apply online, visit www.Cobourg.ca/committees and scroll down to the list of Current Advisory Committees, Local Boards and/or Ad Hoc Committees.

Find the listing for the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Task Force, look to the right-hand side of the screen and click on the green button which reads “View,” then click on the green button that reads “Apply.”
