Municipal Building Closures Due to Canada Day Holiday Weekend

Cobourg, ON (June 27, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents of municipal building closures due to the Canada Day holiday weekend.

Municipal building closures include:

• Cobourg Community Centre (750 D'Arcy Street): Closed on Monday, July 1
• Cobourg Public Library (200 Ontario Street): Closed on Sunday, June 30 and Monday, July 1 (as well as all Sundays from June 30 to September 1)
• Building 7 Public Works: Closed on Monday, July 1, however on-call staff can be reached for emergencies by calling the after-hours number: 905-372-9971
• Venture13 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Centre (739 D’Arcy Street): Closed on Monday, July 1 (but open to members)
• Victoria Hall (55 King Street West): Municipal offices will be closed on Monday, July 1. The building will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., during the Canada Day Parade, for public washroom use.

Free Shuttle Bus
Park your car for free at the Northumberland Mall at 1111 Elgin Street West or at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy Street and catch a complimentary shuttle to and from the Cobourg Waterfront Festival.

The shuttle stops approximately every 30 minutes at each of the below destinations during the festival and will bring you right to the festival or back to your vehicle. Please remember that traffic and wait times are beyond the shuttle driver's control.

Shuttle Stops include:

• Northumberland Mall - Bus Shelter
• Cobourg Community Centre - Rear/East Entrance
• Downtown Terminal - Albert Street
• Bottom of Church Street at Perry Street
• Cobourg Marina

The Shuttle runs daily from Saturday, June 29 to Monday, July 1, continuously during the following timeframes:

• Saturday, June 29 • 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
• Sunday, June 30 • 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
• Monday, July 1 • 9:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. (after the fireworks)

On-Demand Transit
Cobourg Transit will be running its regular hours through the weekend. For more information including how to book, how to pay, and how to use the service please visit the Cobourg Transit webpage or call the Engineering department at 905-372-4555.

Cobourg Transit Hours of Operation are:

• Monday to Friday: 6:15 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
• Sunday: 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
