Emergency Council Meeting Called for October 30, 2024 at 4 p.m.

Cobourg, ON (October 30, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that an Emergency Meeting of Council will take place today (Wednesday, October 30, 2024), at 4 p.m.

In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Council will meet in Closed Session regarding advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)).

Please be advised that pursuant to section 5.7 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law an Emergency Meeting has been called for the purposes of part of the meeting being held in Closed Session. The Public will see a Closed Session screen on the livestream indicating Council is in Closed Session.

The Open Session, Council will have the opportunity, if deemed necessary to report out on matters that may have arisen during Closed Session, will appear live directly following the Closed Session and can be viewed using the same livestream link.
