Centennial Pool offers public swimming during the summer, lessons and aquafit programs.
This outdoor swimming pool is located next to Victoria Park and the Cobourg waterfront. Please abide by the following:
Children 0 - 5 years must be accompanied in the water with a parent or guardian at all times at a ratio of 1 guardian to 2 children.
Children 6 - 9 years who have not passed the facility swimming test must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times at a ratio of 1 guardian to 2 children
If the children are wearing life-jackets the ratio may increase to 1 guardian to 4 children.
Children 6 - 9 who can pass the facility swim test may swim on their own in the pool provided a parent or guardian who is at least 16 years old is supervising them from the pool deck.
Adults may supervise a maximum of four children. Individuals 10 years of age who are not able to pass the facility swimming test should be directed to swim in the pool area appropriate to their abilities.
Admission:
YMCA Northumberland membership or YMCA Northumberland day pass allows entry at all public swimming times. Assistance available for all programs.
