Municipal Building Closures for Civic Holiday Weekend
Many upcoming community and cultural events to enjoy
Cobourg, ON (August 2, 2023) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents of upcoming municipal building closures on Monday, August 7, 2023, in observance of the Civic Holiday.
Town of Cobourg municipal offices and buildings, including Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, Public Works Building 7 and the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre will be closed on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Cobourg Transit will be running its regular hours of operation on the Civic Holiday.
The Town of Cobourg wishes all residents and visitors and safe and happy long weekend.

55th Annual Sidewalk Sale

Lake Yacht Racing Association (LYRA) Regatta
Friday, August 4 to Sunday, August 6 | Cobourg Yacht Club, 100 Hibernia St.
LYRA is believed to be the oldest association of yacht clubs on the continent, formed in 1884 by delegates from clubs in both Canada and the United States, and its Freeman race began its own history in 1921. James Cockburn Day

The Concert Band of Cobourg

The Concert Band of Cobourg performs free concerts every Tuesday evening at the Victoria Park bandshell. Bring your lawn chair for an evening of live music, featuring marches, show tunes, traditional pieces, and everything in between.
Annual Sandcastle Festival
Saturday August 12, 2023, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Cobourg Beach
Families, businesses, adults, and youth are invited to enter to create their own sculptures or castles and win cash prizes! Everyone is invited to visit and view the master sculptors at work creating miraculous pieces of art out of sand. Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival

Every Thursday in August
Explore the beautiful historic Victoria Hall building with a guided 45-minute tour showcasing various aspects of the architectural building.
