Ice Program Descriptions:

 Learn to Skate - Child
Boys and Girls ages 4-12
Learn to skate in small classes with additional CCC Instructors and Volunteers, which encourage children to try skating and learn the basics at their own pace. Children are put into groups based on their skill/age when they arrive at their first lesson.
 Parent/Child Learn to Skate

Boys and Girls ages 3-9

Encourages parent participation in their child's skating education!  A CCC Instructor will guide parents/guardians on ice, through beginner skills to help their child learn the basics of skating.  Program is focused on building confidence in the child and improving their balance and comfort on ice.

**All participants (parents/guardians included) must wear skates and CSA approved hockey helmets during the program.  Parents/Guardians should be comfortable on ice with their child to participate.

Learn to Play Hockey - Child

Boys and Girls ages 4-10

A great program that introduces kids to the world of hockey! Each session includes opportunities for children to improve their skating, passing, shooting and scoring skills!
*Participants MUST be able to skate independently, before entering this program.
FULL EQUIPMENT is required in this program. Please view the hockey checklist below.
Power Skating
8-11.
A program based ENTIRELY on skating skills. Pucks are used minimally, as we focus on pure skating technique and improving speed. Great for kids who play organized hockey, as it is a very fast paced program. Please note this is not a learn to skate program and skating experience is required.
***Full equipment required*** Please view the hockey checklist below
Skills and Skating

The focus of the Skills and Skating Program is to provide athletes with the proper age appropriate training model. Skaters will have the opportunity to improve their speed, power, agility, posture and endurance. Drills, shooting, and passing will be incorporated over the session. The specificity of the training sessions will increase the players technical proficiency and confidence with their skills.

**Please note - these sessions are designed for athletes with playing / skating experience. It is recommended all participants have at least one full year of playing experience at a minimum.

Learn To Play Hockey Equipment Checklist:

Each child enrolled in the Learn to Play Hockey program is required to have full equipment for this program. This ensures not only their safety but the safety of the other children out on the ice.
