We are home to a number of recreational and cultural areas. From community gardens to an outdoor rink to an off leash dog park, Cobourg has just about anything you can ask for.
Located at 107 Hibernia Street, the Ecology Garden is maintained by a local group. There are walking paths throughout the garden and spots to stop for bird watching.
We have many playgrounds in our parks, including:
In the middle of the waterfront action, the Victoria Park Campground sits on the edge of the Cobourg beach with over 50 lots for camping, washroom areas, and a dumping station for trailers and much more!
To learn more about the Victoria Park Campground, visit the Cobourg Marina website.
During the winter months, the fountain in Rotary Waterfront Park is transformed into a large skating rink for all ages to enjoy. The ice surface is flooded twice daily (weather dependant) and is open at all hours. The bus shelter doubles as a warm area for putting skates on and off.
Weather permitting, we try to maintain our outdoor rink until March Break.
There are a large number of different sports fields from baseball to soccer to tennis. A full list of the sports fields in the town can be found here.
In 2014, we opened an off leash dog park located at 777 Ontario Street. This park is open to all dogs big and small as long as they have a dog tag from their home municipality.
To learn more about the Cobourg Dog Park and its rules, check out the Cobourg and District Dog Owner's Group webpage.
The Town of Cobourg has one main outdoor pool, Centennial Pool owned and operated by the Northumberland YMCA. Visit the pools webpage to learn more.
