Cobourg’s Town Council is the legislative body that represents the citizens of Cobourg and is comprised of a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and five (5) Councillors who serve for a four-year term. The current term of Council began on December 1, 2018 and will end on November 30, 2022.
Council conducts its business through Committee of the Whole and Regular Council meetings which are comprised of all members of Council. In addition to sitting at the Committee of the Whole and Regular Council level, each member of Council is assigned an area of responsibility through their coordinator roles and are appointed to committees and local boards.
