Cobourg, ON (December 2, 2019) – The Town of Cobourg’s Legislative Services Department is pleased to announce the launch of its first ever wedding promotion that includes 14 discounted marriage ceremonies on Friday, February 14, 2020 for only $140, plus one lucky couple will receive their ceremony for free.
The Town of Cobourg has been offering civil marriage ceremonies at Victoria Hall for over a decade, performing about 50 ceremonies every year. Typically, the Town’s Marriage Officiant is available every Friday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. throughout the year. Ceremonies typically cost $300 including the use of the historic Old Bailey Courtroom for one hour.
On February 14, 2020, the Town will host a full-day of marriage ceremonies beginning at 9 a.m., with the last ceremony performed at 4 p.m. for a total of 14 ceremonies. The promotional package includes a 30-minute venue rental of the Old Bailey Courtroom, a 15-20 minute civil ceremony performed by the Marriage Officiant, and complimentary wedding photos by Kayla Kristina Photography. Couples must book in advance, walk-ins will not be accommodated.
Along with the reduced fee and special promotions, the Town of Cobourg is also running a contest that offers one couple the chance to receive their ceremony for free. Those couples who book their ceremony for February 14th will be automatically entered to win back their ceremony fee. Full contest details, rules and regulations can be found at www.cobourg.ca/marriage.
