(Issued July 29, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. EST) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise citizens that Conventional and WHEELS Transit will not be operational on Monday, August 3, 2020 (Civic Holiday), with the exception of pre-scheduled dialysis appointments.
Ensuring the Safety of Riders
The Town has added increased safety measures to protect Transit operators and riders during this time. Safety measures include:
Strongly Recommended Mask Use on Public Transit
All riders are strongly recommended to wear non-medical face masks or face coverings as part of the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit’s requirement to wear a face covering when entering a public indoor space.
Children under the age of two, or those under five who cannot be persuaded, are not required to wear a face covering, as well as individuals whose health or ability, or cultural or religious reasons would prevent them from doing so.
