Cobourg Transit Downtown Terminal to be temporarily relocated to Third Steet

Cobourg, ON (September 22, 2022) – The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents that Albert Street, from Division Street to Third Street will be closed to through traffic from Monday, September 26 to Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

The work being completed includes the widening of Albert Street from Division Street for 75m westerly to Third Street as well as improvements to the existing traffic signals at Division Street and Albert Street. The Town of Cobourg has contracted Behan Construction for the project. During this time, there will be no access to Albert Street parking lots from the intersection of Division Street and Albert Street. Municipal Parking lots (Victoria Square Parking Lot, Second Street Lot, Third Street Lot, and Albert Street Lot) will remain open, however, accessible only from the west.  

Cobourg Transit Impacts:
Due to the closure of Albert Street at Division Street, Cobourg Rides will be relocating the Downtown Transit Terminal location to Third St (behind the LCBO).

A temporary transit stop will be erected at the Third Street stop location. Effective, Monday September 26 to Wednesday November 30, all Downtown Terminal booking locations will be serviced at the temporary Third Street stop location south of Albert Street.
