Cobourg, ON (December 24, 2022, 2:00pm) – The Town of Cobourg and Lakefront Utility Services Inc. (LUSI) will be providing regular updates regarding the response to the Significant Weather Event and power restoration efforts.
For those who are still without power, the Town of Cobourg and LUSI strongly encourage the conservation of energy when possible.The Town of Cobourg will be issuing out regular updates every two hours, to inform all residents of power restoration efforts. Please note, LUSI is aware of areas that are currently without power. Staff are working around the clock to restore power to all neighbourhoods. These regular notices will provide residents with timely status updates regarding power restoration within the community.
Residents are advised to check back for updates at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm and 10pm as the response to the Significant Weather Event continues. Updates can be found on the Town of Cobourg website www.cobourg.ca as well as Town of Cobourg and LUSI social media pages. (Links below)

Support for Those without Power
For those who are without power and in urgent need to get warm, please call the Cobourg Community Centre at 905-372-7371. Staff are monitoring the line and can assist those in need.
For those who require a place to get warm or to charge your phones, the CCC is open today, starting at 9am until further notice.
Leave Roads Clear for Response Teams:
The Town of Cobourg would like to advise all residents to please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Town of Cobourg Roads staff and Ontario Line Clearing staff are working hard to clear all roads so that LUSI crews can access feeders to restore power to the community. Vehicles on the road during severe weather conditions pose danger to themselves as well as impede the ability of crews to complete this important work.
