Cobourg, ON (January 21, 2021) – The Town of Cobourg’s Civic Awards Advisory Committee is now calling for nominations for the 19th Annual Civic Awards to recognize local residents who have helped benefit the community through outstanding volunteerism and community involvement.
Residents are encouraged to nominate a deserving individual to be recognized for their volunteerism within the community. The nomination form and awards category information can be found at www.cobourg.ca/civic-awards. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Civic Awards will honour the successful recipients through a virtual gala on Friday, April 23, 2021.
“Although this past year has been challenging in many ways, we have also experienced an exceptional level of community support, kindness and philanthropy,” says Mayor John Henderson. “Coming together to honour and validate the many volunteers within our town has always been a highlight of the year and I encourage you to nominate someone deserving today.”
How to Nominate Someone:
1) Review the award categories and select the most appropriate category.
2) Complete the online nomination form.
3) Include all required information and supporting documentation, if applicable.
4) Submit the nomination form and any supporting documentation by Monday, March 1, 2021.
