Venture13 Concludes Exciting Summer of Activities, Announces New Fall Line-Up
(Cobourg, ON) September 23, 2019 – The pace of innovation continues to accelerate at the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre in Cobourg, Ontario.
This summer saw the successful conclusion of the second year of a full slate of Maker Camps for youth delivered by Northumberland Makers, which included robotics, coding, movie-making and a wide array of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and do-it-yourself skills development opportunities for aspiring young creators and designers.
Venture13 also saw the launch of TECHimmersivE, a new initiative of VentureKids Canada led by Takara Small and powered by Northeastern University Toronto and Venture13 partners. TECHimmersivE is an experiential technology and entrepreneurship program for rural youth which also supports connectivity with Toronto-based organizations like Microsoft Canada and LinkedIn, with tech sector business leaders and even the Consul-General of the United States of America.
