



2012 Tax Bills
The residential interim tax bill due date was February 24, 2012. At this time the other installment dates have not been established.
The commercial/Industrial interim tax bill due dates are February 24 and May 25, 2012. At this time the other installment dates have not been established.
2011 Tax Bills
The residential tax bill due dates for 2011 were March 4, May 27 and September 9th.
The commercial/industrial tax bill due dates for 2011 were March 4, May 27, September 9 and October 28, 2011.

1. Residential Owners PAP Plan
Tax Account must be in good standing (no arrears):

This plan allows for ten (10) instalments, the plan runs from February 10th to November 10th each year.
2. Commercial/Industrial/ Owners PAP Plan
Tax Account must be in good standing (no arrears):

This plan allows for twelve (12) instalments, the plan runs from January 10th to December 10th each year.

Payment of Taxes by Post-dated cheques
Post-dated cheques will be accepted at The Town of Cobourg. The cheque should be dated for the due date to avoid a penalty.
Payments by Telephone or Internet Banking
For Telephone and Internet banking payments, please check your bank’s policies regarding the effective date of payment. This will ensure that your tax payment arrives at the Tax Department on or before the due date and you don’t incur penalty charges. Before making a payment confirm that your current property roll number is the one registered on your bill payment menu.
Pay by Mail
Please make all cheques or money orders payable to “The Town of Cobourg,” and enclose the remittance portion to your tax bill with your payment. Please allow ample time for your payment to arrive at the Town of Cobourg on or before the due date. Payments should be forwarded to the following address:

The Tax Department is located at 55 King Street West and the hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
For your convenience there is a mail slot at 55 King Street West on the east side of the building.

Change of Address
Please complete the Change of Address form if your tax bill should be mailed to a different address, this will ensure that you receive your tax bill on time. Return the completed form to the Tax Department.

If you have questions about your property's assessed value you may contact MPAC and ask them to review your assessment through a Request for Reconsideration (RFR) form. Click here for this form.
The deadline for submitting the RFR to MPAC is March 31st of the taxation year you are questioning.
