



The Background & Future Directions report has now been released for review by the Town. It summarizes the results of the background research and discusses possible policy directions with respect to key issues. The report is organized to address the issues identified by the Town in the Study Terms of Reference as follows:

Intent of the Background & Future Directions Report
The intent of this Background and Future Directions report is to provide a basis for review and discussion by Council, agencies, the public and other stakeholders leading to the development of amendments to the Official Plan. Other alternatives or variations on the proposals may be suggested through the consultation process.

Preferred Directions Report
This Preferred Directions report is based on the initial report and the input received from the public and other stakeholders. It will provide the basis for the preparation of the work in Stage 2, including the draft Official Plan amendment and urban design and landscape guidelines.
This report reviews the input received from the public and other stakeholders and presents the final recommended list of Official Plan directions related to each of the topics in the Background and Future Directions Report.
