The Town of Cobourg has established a working group tasked to review municipal by-laws with input from the appropriate Municipal Council Coordinator, Staff, Committee/Local Board representatives and general public.

Input from the general public will be solicited through Feedback/Comment Sheets (which will be published on the municipal website and in local newspapers, and available in the Municipal Offices) and Public Open House meetings.

A By-law to Regulate, Protect and Govern the use of Parks, Public Open Spaces in the Town of Cobourg.

Draft By-law

The following by-laws were passed by Council on January 30, 2012:

004-2012 - The by-law established a Community Emergency Management Program for protecting property, the environment and the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Town of Cobourg.
005-2012 - The by-law regulates the use of skateboards, in-line skates, bicycles and power/motor-assisted vehicles in certain areas within the Town of Cobourg,

The following by-laws were passed by Council on January 16, 2012:

001-2012 - The by-law authorized an interim tax levy.
002-2012 - The by-law authorized borrowing for 2012.
003-2012 - The by-law prohibits the possession of alcohol in municipal recreational areas.
