Cobourg Heritage Committee

The Cobourg Heritage Committee is a committee composed of up to two members of Council and up to seven other persons and are authorized and established to advise and assist Council on all matters relating to the conservation of built and natural cultural heritage resources and on all matters relating to the designation and preservation of heritage properties and districts in accordance with the Ontario Heritage Act. In addition, further responsibilities may be assigned by council resolutions that may include examining, researching and evaluating all the properties and areas that may deserve protection now or in the future. The Term of Reference for the Heritage Committee can be viewed on-line. The Heritage Committee meets according to the schedule as identified in the Heritage Permit Application Guide.
