A Municipal Event Application must be filled out for all events that take place within the facilities operated by the Town of Cobourg. These include walks, parades, festivals and celebrations that require attention from more than one town department or facility. For individual bookings such as the pavillion or a park please complete the Facility Event application.

The Special Events Department is part of the Community Development Office of the Town of Cobourg. The primary purpose of the Events Coordinator is to work with external event organizers (non-profit and commercial) and facilitate their requests within the Town, to run successful events that have minimal impact on the community and to evaluate each event and provide the economic and community impact of each.

Municipal Event Applications are reviewed regularly by the Community Events Committee. The Committee involves a cross section of staff from various departments within the Town of Cobourg and simplifies the planning process for organizers as the key contacts include: Cobourg Police Service, Cobourg Fire Department, Roads and Sewers, Tourism and the Parks Department.
